The Nittany Lions are putting in serious effort for their 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes, and they’re seeing major success on both fronts. Recently, a Penn State football recruiting offer was extended to Dorian Brew, a four-star two-way athlete in the 2024 recruiting class and the No. 1 recruit in the state of Ohio. This could be a huge get for the Nittany Lions, who currently boast the third-ranked recruiting class in the nation for 2025. It could also deal a significant blow to the Ohio State Buckeyes’ momentum as Penn State’s staff remains hard at work securing their future on the field.

While James Franklin and his staff focus on building an impressive 2024 recruiting class, Penn State football is also working hard to secure talented players in younger classes, including the 2025 group. This week, they extended a new offer to Dorian Brew, one of the most highly sought-after two-way players in the nation and the current No. 1 recruit in the state of Ohio.

Despite being a young recruit, Brew’s impressive skills have caught the attention of all three major recruiting services. While he’s currently a four-star recruit, it’s anticipated that Brew will earn a fifth star as his class gets re-evaluated in the coming year.

All three major recruiting services rank Brew as the top recruit in Ohio for his class, with 247 Sports composite rankings listing him as the No. 3 cornerback nationally and the No. 35 recruit overall. On3 ranks him as the No. 7 wide receiver and the No. 37 recruit nationally, while Rivals also places him as the top recruit in Ohio and a top-60 recruit nationally.

If the Nittany Lions successfully land Brew, he would be a valuable addition to their already impressive 2025 recruiting class and could help propel them to even greater success on the field.

Where does Penn State recruiting stand with its coming classes right now?

Penn State football has made significant progress in their recruiting efforts for the 2024 class, having secured 13 hard commitments, with the majority being four-star prospects. This includes some of the region’s highest-ranked recruits, showcasing the effectiveness of the Nittany Lions’ recruiting strategy. Notably, the team has successfully recruited three out of the top four prospects in Wisconsin, all of whom are four-star prospects and expected to make significant contributions on the field. The class is currently ranked No. 5 in the nation.

In addition to their success in the 2024 recruiting cycle, the Nittany Lions are also making significant headway in the 2025 class with a top-three ranking and three hard commitments. Furthermore, Penn State is gaining momentum in the 2026 recruiting trail with frequent new offers and visits. For the time being, everything is going well for Penn State football recruiting in all three of its current classes.
