Over the past month and a half, the Penn State football team has lost four players to the transfer portal. WR Cristian Driver, Punter Alex Bacchetta, WR Dante Cephas, and OL Ibrahim Traore. Now, just a few days after Traore entered the transfer portal he has received his first offer while in the portal from Kent State. This would likely give him a path to almost immediate playing time, something that he is searching for after only playing in one game in four years at Penn State.

Penn State football transfer Ibrahim Traore receives offer from Kent State

Ibrahim Traore was a three-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class for the Penn State football team. He entered the transfer portal on January 9th officially which was reported by Pete Nakos of On3. It took a little less than 24 hours for Traore to pick up his first FBS offer coming from Kent State in the MAC.

In 2023 Kent State was one of the worst statistical schools in college football. The Golden Flashes ended the 2023 season with a record of 1-11. But it’s good news for Traore as he could have an immediate impact if he commits to this school.
