A five-star ranking is what every high school football player dreams of and aims toward. Many of them fall short of that goal, however, as there are only 32 players in the 2024 recruiting class to earn a five-star rating in the final On300 rankings. But today, Penn State football early enrollee Cooper Cousins smashed that glass ceiling, earning the major recruiting honor in the final On300 rankings for the class of 2024.

Penn State football signee Cooper Cousins earns five-star ranking in final On300

Penn State football 2024 signee Cooper Cousins has recently been shooting up recruiting rankings. He impressed many recruiting experts at the All-American Bowl and secured his first five-star ranking from On3 in the 2024 On300.

Not only did Cousins secure a fifth-star but he also has finished the 2024 cycle ranked as the 27th overall player in the 2024 recruiting class. Cooper Cousins is regarded by many as the class leader for the Nittany Lions.  The Erie, PA native was the first hard commit in the 2024 cycle for Penn State, making his pledge on January 29, 2022.

Other Nittany Lions in the 2024 On300

While Cooper Cousins finished at 27th overall several other Nittany Lions made the final On300. Starting with four-star CB Jon Mitchell who landed at 62nd overall. TE Luke Reynolds and OT Garrett Sexton came in at 74th and 76th, respectively. Reynolds, of course, is a five-star prospect in the 247Sports rankings for the 2024 cycle.

Edge Mylachi Williams finished 111th, while Ethan Grunkemeyer landed 117th. DL Liam Andrews finished at 123rd overall, and ATH Quinton Martin wrapped up at 145th overall. The last Nittany Lion on the On300, but certainly not the least, was S Vaboue Toure at 275th overall.
