With Blue/White weekend in the rearview, Penn State’s attention is now on recruiting. On Monday, a major Penn State recruiting target, four-star safety Kaj Sanders, set his commitment date. This summer, the Nittany Lions’ defensive backfield may get a whole lot better with the addition of this Bergen Catholic High School product.

According to On3’s rankings, Kaj Sanders is one of the best safeties in the nation for the 2024 recruiting cycle. Sanders is rated as an On3 four-star recruit, ranked as the No. 35 safety in the 2024 class, and the No. 7 recruit in the state of New Jersey. As of late, Penn State football has managed to reactivate its New Jersey pipeline and could continue this trend by landing Kaj Sanders over the summer.

Earlier today, four-star safety Kaj Sanders tweeted out his official commitment date; he will commit on July 30th. Right now, Penn State football appears to be in the lead for Sanders’ recruitment, holding the best odds to land him according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Additionally, Sanders has two more visits to Penn State upcoming: one on Thursday (April 20th) and one in June (official). This could be a massive grab for James Franklin and the 2024 Penn State recruiting class, and it is a recruitment that Nittany Lion football fans should be keeping a close eye on.
