STATE COLLEGE, PA — On Wednesday evening, Penn State star sharp shooter Seth Lundy announced that he will be leaving the program in favor of the 2023 NBA Draft. Lundy was a key piece on Penn State’s 2022-23 roster, which broke the Penn State basketball tournament drought and made it to the Big Ten title game.

Amidst a flurry of Micah Shrewsberry rumors, which largely have to do with him interviewing for the Notre Dame job, Seth Lundy announced that he is heading to the NBA Draft. Lundy was a standout in the Blue and White, especially during the Nittany Lions’ most recent run, which saw Penn State basketball finish 23-14 overall, make it to the Big Ten title game against Purdue, make the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2011, and win a tournament game for the first time since 2001.

During the Lions’ incredible 2022-23 season, Star shooter Seth Lundy averaged 14.2 points per game, 6.3 rebounds per game, and 0.9 assists per game. Lundy was one of the top shooters in the Big Ten and in program history, and played a large role as a veteran starter in leading Penn State basketball to their tournament success.

Now, following the Nittany Lions’ narrow loss to the 2-seed Texas Longhorns in the Round of 32, Seth Lundy announced that he will forgo his remaining eligibility and entering the 2023 NBA Draft. This is a bit of a hit for Penn State, especially since this is not a great sign when it comes to Micah Shrewsberry staying or going.
