Yesterday, the Nittany Lions added another key piece to their 2024 recruiting class. On Monday night, the 2024 Penn State football recruiting class received a commitment from 2024 three-star cornerback Antoine Belgrave-Shorter, a native of Jacksonville, FL. With this new commitment, Penn State’s already top 10 class has once again moved up in the 247 Sports team recruiting rankings, though the Nittany Lions still trail the Michigan Wolverines (2) and the Ohio State Buckeyes (4).

Where is the 2023 Penn State football recruiting class ranked now?

Following a series of recent massive pickups — including four-star athlete Quinton Martin, three-star cornerback Antoine Belgrave-Shorter, and more — the Nittany Lions’ class is trending toward the top 5 nationally. Heading into this week, Penn State football bosted the No. 9 class nationally (No. 3 Big Ten), and with yesterday’s commitment, the class has moved up to No. 8 in the country (still No. 3 in the Big Ten).

The Nittany Lions now have eight commits in the 2024 recruiting class (six four-star commits and two three-star commits), including one athlete, two linebackers, three corners, an offensive lineman, and a tight end.

The 2024 Penn State football recruiting class has a 151.61 class score right now and only trails Tennessee (the 7th-ranked team) by around five points right now. Additionally, it’s essential to remember that this weekend will likely be a massive recruiting weekend for the Nittany Lions and Penn State is trending in an excellent direction for ESPN five-star quarterback Michael Van Buren.
