The 2024 Penn State football recruiting class currently sits just outside the top 5 nationally, being ranked as the 6th-best class in the country. The Nittany Lions have secured 13 hard commitments so far, with the most recent addition being four-star running back Corey Smith from Wisconsin. This summer, Penn State is expected to have bigger and better opportunities to land more major recruits during official visit season. Today, official visit dates were announced for Nick Marsh, Penn State’s top wide receiver target, who will be visiting State College this June.

Apart from visiting Penn State football, Nick Marsh will also be visiting Michigan State, Auburn, and Kansas. Although Penn State has not played against Kansas recently, they hold victories over Auburn (41-12) and Michigan State (35-16) in their most recent meetings.

Penn State football recruiting: Official visit dates announced for top 2024 wide receiver target Nick Marsh

The 2024 recruiting class is shaping up nicely for Penn State football, with 13 hard commitments and counting. Head coach James Franklin is currently pursuing some of the nation’s top-ranked talent, including four-star wide receiver Nick Marsh from River Rouge High School in Michigan. Despite his strong ties to Michigan, Marsh has garnered significant out-of-state interest from schools like Penn State and Auburn, though still has offers from the Michigan Wolverines and the Michigan State Spartans.

On Tuesday, it was confirmed that Marsh will be taking four official visits, including one to Penn State beginning on June 9th. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Marsh is a four-star wide receiver in the 2024 recruiting class, ranked as the No. 73 recruit in the nation, the No. 15 wide receiver in the 2024 class, and the No. 3 recruit in the state of Michigan.

Securing a commitment from Marsh would be a significant boost for the Penn State Nittany Lions, particularly since James Franklin has yet to land a commitment from a wide receiver in the 2024 cycle. To remain competitive and innovative on offense, it is crucial for Penn State football to secure major blue-chip talent like Nick Marsh; It seems that the Lions will have the perfect opportunity to do so in early June.
