Josh Johnson is a three-star defensive back in the 2025 recruiting class from Ironton, Ohio. Johnson who stands at 6-3 175 pounds is a lanky defender who is halfway through his slate of official visits. He started with Louisville on May 31 and over the past few days, he has completed his official visit with Penn State.

This trip served as his third visit to Happy Valley, the school Johnson has visited the most during his recruitment. Looking ahead Johnson will take official visits to Arkansas and Iowa over the next two weekends.

However, those plans could be subject to change. According to his recruiting profile on Rivals, several staff members have placed a future cast for Johnson to commit to Penn State. On3 lists Johnson as the No. 15 player in Ohio and a top-40 defensive back in the cycle.
