Kaytron Allen confirms future, “definitely” be back with Penn State football in 2024

The two-running back system is effective but can be challenging personally. Every college football player wants to be “the guy” but oftentimes times sharing the workload can cause problems. But that isn’t the case on the Penn State football team. For two seasons Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen have dealt with these circumstances and have flourished in these conditions. Now, the Nittany Lions have confirmation from Nick Singleton and most recently Kaytron Allen that they will return in 2024.

Kaytron Allen confirms future, “definitely” be back with Penn State

One of the attributes that NFL scouts look for when scouting college running backs in attempts. Ja’Juan Seider and James Franklin have worked hard to keep the snaps split to keep Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen healthy throughout the 2022 and the 2023 seasons. So far, this method has been successful and the future is bright for both players.

When speaking to the media today, Kaytron Allen was asked about his future with the Penn State football team. A fair question with today’s era with the transfer portal becoming an easy escape. Penn State fans do not have to fear as Kaytron Allen has confirmed he is not going anywhere. Allen stated, “I’m not too big on that. I’m focused on the main thing… I’m not focused on the outside. I don’t worry about the outside.”

In 2023, Kaytron Allen accounted for 851 yards and 6 rushing touchdowns. Looking to add to those numbers in the Peach Bowl against Ole Miss in a few weeks.

Lawnboyz are locked in for 2024

For those wondering what about Nick Singleton? Do not worry, the former five-star running back has also confirmed that he is not going anywhere. Singleton spoke about this topic following the Nittany Lions’ final game against Michigan State.

“I’m committed,” Singleton said after the Michigan State game. “I’m committed to the whole team next year. Coach Franklin, Coach Seider, the whole coaching staff. I’m telling ya, I’m not leaving. I’m staying here.”
