Star Penn State Receiver Is Not Satisfied With Rose Bowl Win
On Saturday, Penn State football held a THON event at the Lasch Building in University Park, PA. During the event, the media was permitted to talk to some of the players about the Nittany Lions’ THON activities and more — there, PSU wide out KeAndre Lambert-Smith (KLS) stated that he is not satisfied with the Nittany Lions’ Rose Bowl victory a season ago.
What Did KLS Have To Say?
Lambert-Smith was asked by a member of the media how the players inside of the Lasch Building were feeling. His response? Something along the lines of hungry and driven.
“I feel like we’re all pretty confident,” Lambert-Smith said. “Not satisfied with the Rose Bowl win last year, you know, there’s more in the tank. More that we can accomplish from that — I mean, I feel like that was good to show us where we can get, but, you know, there’s more work to be done.”
Lambert-Smith continued, “We got guys in there willing to compete, you know, hard workers coming every day with the same mindset. Once we fully all get onboard, I feel like our [receiver] room can be the best in the country.”
These are bold statements from the Nittany Lions’ star wide-out, though they are not unwarranted. The Penn State football team has been knocking on the door of a Big Ten title and College Football Playoff contention in almost every season since 2016, though have fallen short every time. While the Nittany Lions Rose Bowl win was a fantastic achievement for the program, Penn State still has work to do to become a National Title contender.
KLS is spot on about the state of Penn State’s program right now: the Nittany Lions are in good shape to compete for more than a New Year’s Six game, and if all goes as planned, the Penn State football receiving corps could be one of (if not the) best in the nation.
