As spring practice winds down and suspense builds for the Blue-White game this weekend, the Nittany Lions are still hard at work getting some of the nation’s top 2024 recruits to State College. During the Penn State football spring game this weekend, one of the Nittany Lions’ top 2024 offensive line targets will be in Happy Valley.

When it comes to Penn State’s recruitment of William Satterwhite — one of the top-ranked offensive lineman recruits in the 2024 class — it appears that the Nittany Lions are in great shape. Despite having no crystal balls on 247 Sports (yet), Satterwhite is given a 93.8% chance of committing to Penn State football by the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

This weekend, the Akron, OH native will be in State College for Penn State’s infamous Blue-White game — this will be his third visit to Happy Valley.

Who is Penn State’s special visitor?

William Satterwhite is a four-star 2024 offensive line target and is currently one of Penn State’s top offensive line targets in the class. He is ranked as the No. 12 interior offensive lineman and the No. 6 player in the state of Ohio by the 247 Sports Composite rankings — his 6-foot-5, 290-pound frame makes him an ideal target on its own, though he boasts the talent to match. Satterwhite is a product of Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron, OH.

Seeing as the 2024 Penn State football recruiting class is already ranked in the top 10 (currently sitting at No. 8), this could be a massive addition, to say the least. The Nittany Lions have eight hard commits at the moment: six four-stars and two talented three-stars. Only one of Penn State’s current commits in the 2024 class is an offensive lineman, meaning Satterwhite is one of James Franklin’s top priorities.
