The Penn State football team saw a late uptick in players entering the transfer portal. The transfer portal deadline for undergraduate players to enter was Tuesday at midnight, but there is a 48-hour period for schools to process requests, leading to the delay in reporting. Now, Nittany Lion redshirt senior offensive lineman Golden Israel-Achumba who was a member of the 2020 recruiting class has entered the transfer portal according to reports.

Golden Israel-Achumba was a three-star IOL prospect in the 2020 recruiting class for the Penn State football team. A native of Hyattsville, MD Israel-Achumba attended DeMatha Catholic High School. According to 247Sports, Israel-Achumba was the No. 18 prospect in Maryland and No. 19 IOL in the 2020 cycle.

He made his commitment to the Nittany Lions on April 2nd, 2019, and enrolled in August of 2020. Israel-Achumba chose Penn State over Maryland who held a crystal ball for the talented offensive lineman during his recruiting process.
