Penn State football flashes in season-opening win over Nevada

Penn State football lived up to the preseason hype in its Week 1 win over Nevada on Saturday afternoon.

Turning Points

Penn State 0 – Nevada 0

There wasn’t much rust to shake off to open the year. The Nittany Lions put a stop to the Wolfpack’s opening drive early in the 1st quarter. Dani Dennis-Sutton forced a fumble on Ky Woods, which was recovered by A.J. Harris at the Penn State 31-yard line.

Penn State 17 – Nevada 0

Already up 10-0, Penn State added to its lead with a 12-yard touchdown rush by Kaytron Allen early in the second quarter. Allen and Nicholas Singleton combined for 51 yards through the first 20 minutes of gameplay.

Penn State 36 – Nevada 3

Dani Dennis-Sutton re-entered Beaver Stadium fierce after the half with his second forced fumble of the game, leading to another Nittany Lions’ touchdown.
