Penn State football 2027 commit Kemon Spell burst onto the national scene during his sophomore season. On Friday night, the future Nittany Lions and current McKeesport running back put an exclamation point on his statement year with a sensational performance in the Tigers’ regular-season finale.
Averaging over 16 yards per touch, Spell put up 313 all-purpose yards on 19 touches in McKeesport’s 46-14 win over Knoch High School. The sophomore surpassed the 1,000-yard rushing mark on the year with 113 yards on the ground in the first half.
Kemon Spell finished the night with 175 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries. He added four receptions for 138 yards and a score through the air.

A four-star, Spell is the No. 7 recruit in the country and the top running back in the 2027 recruiting class, according to On3. The WPIAL standout became the Nittany Lions’ first commitment in the 2027 cycle in August.
Penn State football joins Alabama and Oklahoma as the only programs with 2027 commitments to date.
