It seems like whenever Ohio State has a quarterback change its fan base expects there to be no dropoff in production. Unfortunately, that is never the case. This could be something that the Penn State football team can take advantage of this season. Kyle McCord has taken over as the starting quarterback for the Buckeyes this season and he has had a fine season. But did Marvin Harrison Sr. call for a change at quarterback on social media?

Is Marvin Harrison Sr. calling for a QB change at Ohio State?

It’s always the assumption that the next quarterback at Ohio State will step in and immediately play well. That’s based on the wide receiver room and the weapons they have around them. Obviously, the best weapon and arguably the best wide receiver in college football is Marvin Harrison Jr. His father [Marvin Harrison Sr] is a 2016 NFL Hall of Fame inductee. He racked up over 14,000 receiving yards and 128 touchdowns in his 12-year NFL career. But did he take a shot at current Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord?

On his Instagram story, he posted a photo of CJ Stroud in his Texans uniform and Lincoln Keinholz. Was he indicating that he was unhappy with the current situation at Ohio State? Or was he simply praising other Buckeyes both past and present? Regardless it is still interesting.

How will Penn State handle Kyle McCord

During the 2023 season, Kyle McCord has thrown for 1,375 yards and 8 touchdowns against 1 interception. If the Penn State football team wants to contain the Buckeyes next weekend the recipe will be to dial up pressure. If Penn State can pressure and or sack the first-year starter, maybe that will lead to turnovers or bad decisions during the game.
