There is nothing like Beaver Stadium in the biggest moments. Whether it’s the annual White Out game or a Big Noon Kickoff, when the Penn State football community comes together, they create one of the most challenging college football environments. Compared to the rest of the Big Ten Conference, the Nittany Lions have one of the best atmospheres. FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt agrees, as he has ranked Penn State as the No. 1 atmosphere in the Big Ten.

Joel Klatt: Penn State football has the “best environment in new Big Ten”

The Big Ten Conference has grown entering the 2024 season. Matchups that seemed so foreign to the common college football fan will now become regular season games. With that exposure comes new opportunities to see which teams have the best atmosphere in the country. Recently, FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt, who serves as the color commentator on Big Noon Kickoff, ranked his top five atmospheres in the Big Ten on the Joel Klatt Show.

His order (from 5th to 1st) includes Washington, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, and Penn State. The Nittany Lions once again have proven to show why Beaver Stadium is a must-see environment in 2024.

“I think that the best environment in the new Big Ten is a White Out at Penn State, so Penn State would be the toughest environment,” Klatt said on his show. “Every time I talk with anybody who’s going on the road, they always say the same thing. Penn State, toughest environment in the Big Ten. So there’s that.”

Will this be the year the Nittany Lions knock off the Buckeyes?

November 2 is one of the most important dates on the 2024 schedule for the Penn State football team. It’s the day that the Nittany Lions will host the Ohio State Buckeyes and look to knock off a team they have not beaten since 2016. Drew Allar will also get his chance at revenge against a team that overwhelmed himself and the Nittany Lion offense last fall.

Penn State football will kick off its season against West Virginia on August 31, with the kickoff time and network yet to be announced.
