The 2023 Penn State football recruiting class was filled with talent. Tony Rojas, Elliot Washington, Zion Tracy, J’ven Williams, the list goes on and on. All of those players enrolled and played for Penn State during the 2023 season. But there was one player who Nittany Lion fans thought would be wearing Blue and White that ended up changing his commitment. Offensive lineman Joshua Miller who was a one-time Penn State commit ended up committing to Georgia. Now, after the 2023 season, Miller has hit the transfer portal.

The recruiting story of Joshua Miller was deeper than it should’ve been. Miller seemed to be a class leader for the Nittany Lions with his leadership on social media and trying to help recruit fellow athletes to the Penn State football team. He made his commitment to Penn State on December 20th, 2021. But then in May of 2022 the defending National Champion Georgia Bulldogs offered Miller and that was the beginning of the end.

Joshua Miller flipped his commitment on June 13th, 2022 from Penn State to Georgia and the rest is history. He enrolled in January of 2023, but his Georgia career was short-lived after not seeing the field for the Bulldogs in 2023. Now, he is officially in the transfer portal. The former 3-star from Virginia should see significant interest.

It didn’t take long for Miller to find a new home. He entered the transfer portal on December 20th and then made his commitment earlier today. Joshua Miller will play his college football at Syracuse for the Orange next season. They have had one of the more fascinating offseasons in college football.

Fran Bown was hired this offseason as the next head coach at Syracuse and he most recently served as the cornerbacks coach for the Georgia Bulldogs. It makes sense why Miller committed to the Orange as he is familiar with Brown and his coaching. Syracuse has also added former Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord as they look to stay relevant in the ACC.
