We are getting closer to the early signing day for the 2024 recruiting class. The Penn State football team will bring in several recruits that will be the future of the Nittany Lions moving forward. Arguably their most talented player in this class is five-star tight end Luke Reynolds, who has become a star in a matter of months. Recruiting experts believe that the Penn State commit will bring a lot to the table for the Nittany Lions.

Penn State football commit will be an ‘X-factor in the Big Ten’

Director of Scouting for 247sports Andrew Ivins joined Bud Elliot on the Cover 3 Podcast to discuss the 2024 recruiting class for Penn State football. The two started their discussion surrounding star tight end Luke Reynolds. 247sports has deemed Reynolds as the top tight end in the 2024 recruiting class.

The more background stories you hear about Reynolds, the more excited I become for him to step on campus.

One thing James Franklin has been able to do very well over the years is find these diamonds in the rough players. Reynolds is a perfect example of just that.

When speaking about the star tight end, Ivins had great things to say.

“I was actually watching his quarterback commit last night, Dante Reno, who’s heading to South Carolina. And Luke Reynolds made two insane catches just on go routes down the sidelines,” he noted. “Beating large defensive backs that can run. So, I’m a big fan of him. I think he could be an X-factor in the Big Ten. I think Penn State did an excellent job of doing that evaluation and getting him committed.”
