The Penn State football team has positioned themselves to potentially land a game-wrecking prospect. The Nittany Lions have been able to not only land time linebacker prospects over the years, but they also have developed them into NFL superstars. Due to this, they have been deemed Linebacker University, aka “LBU.” With this kind of reputation, it’s easy to understand why any top prospect would want to play the position at Penn State. Now, James Franklin and Manny Diaz turn their attention to Zayden Walker, the No.1 LB in the 2025 recruiting class.

Can Penn State football land the No. 1 LB in the country?

The 2025 recruiting class for Penn State has been picking up serious steam. After the White Out against Iowa, the Nittany Lions were able to add three additional prospects. They currently have the No. 6 class in the country in 2025, with a long way to go. But if they can add Zayden Walker, that would make their class ranking skyrocket.

Just how good is Zayden Walker?

Zayden Walker is a five-star recruit in the 2025 recruiting class. 247Sports has deemed him as the No. 1 linebacker in the class and the No. 2 player in Georgia. Football runs in his family, as his brother Zykeivous Walker is a defensive lineman for the Auburn Tigers. His other brother Jalewis Solomon is a current South Carolina commit in the 2024 recruiting class.

Penn State has a significant battle on its hands to land this prospect, but with James Franklin on the recruiting trail and the NIL situation in Happy Valley getting better, it will be interesting if the Nittany Lions can land Walker.
