Every year Penn State football players test extremely well at the NFL Combine and their respective pro day events. That’s largely due to the work that the Nittany Lions put in the weight room led by strength and conditioning coach Chuck Losey. The 2024 pre-draft stages have started strong, with Chop Robinson blowing scouts away at the NFL Combine on Thursday.

Chop Robinson has record-breaking NFL Combine

When Chop Robinson decided to transfer to the Penn State football team, everyone knew he was going to dominate. But, I’m not sure if everyone knew his name around the country. After these past two seasons at Penn State and today’s performance that has certainly changed as Robinson put on a show at the NFL Combine.

Listed at 254 pounds, Robinson ran a 4.49 40-yard dash. This ended up ranking first among edge rushers at the 2024 NFL Combine. He also tied for first in the board jump, according to PFF, where he officially landed a 10’8 jump.

Where Robinson took his physical attributes to the next level was in the 10-yard split also known as the shuttle. Robinson clocked in a 1.54, which was first among edges and the fastest time ever for an edge rusher over 250 pounds, according to Marcus Mosher of PFF.

Adisa Isaac put in a solid day

Also participating at the NFL Combine today was fellow Penn State edge rusher Adisa Isaac. He put up some very solid numbers and is looking to work himself into a Day 2 selection in April.

Issac ran a 4.75 40-yard dash, and he also had a 34.5′ vertical jump at the combine today. The Nittany Lions continue to show why they have some of the most athletically gifted players in the country.
