A new Penn State football offer was extended last night to a highly sought-after recruit for the 2025 class. Yesterday evening, the Nittany Lions extended an offer to Javion Hilson, a four-star defensive end prospect who has largely slipped under the radar of many teams to this point.

Hilson holds a prominent position among the nation’s top EDGE targets for the 2025 class, showcasing an impressive physique and an already impressive list of offers. Penn State becomes the fourth Power Five program to extend an offer to Hilson, joining Indiana, Florida State, and Pitt in that category.

The 2025 Penn State football recruiting class currently boasts three hard commits and ranks among the top-3 classes nationally, barely making the mark at No. 3. Still, the Nittany Lions are without a defensive end thus far, though it is early, and plenty of time remains to change this.

One possible option to become the first Penn State football defensive end commit in the 2025 class is the Nittany Lions’ newest offer: Javion Hilson.

Hilson is a four-star composite EDGE, standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing in over 225 pounds ahead of his junior year of high school ball — he is ranked among the top 70 recruits in the nation (No. 69), and has been pinned as the No. 9 EDGE in the nation and the No. 8 recruit in the state of Florida.
