The Penn State football recruiting efforts are currently focused on attracting several highly sought-after prospects from different parts of the country. In an exciting development this week, the Nittany Lions’ coaching staff has identified a promising addition to their radar: Owen Aliciene, a talented three-star offensive tackle hailing from Avon, CT.

Head coach James Franklin and his team have extended an official offer to Aliciene, recognizing his potential and hoping to secure his commitment to the program.

Owen Aliciene, a highly regarded three-star offensive tackle, has emerged as a standout prospect in the 2025 recruiting class. Currently, he is rated by Rivals, one of the major recruiting services, which ranks him as the No. 25 offensive tackle nationally for his class.

Penn State’s football recruiting efforts have been particularly successful in strengthening their offensive line, a trend largely attributed to the effective recruiting methods employed by Phil Trautwein, the Lions’ offensive line coach. This bodes well for the program’s future prospects.

Standing impressively at 6-foot-7 and weighing over 270 pounds, Aliciene is a product of Avon Old Farms High School located in Avon, Connecticut. Head coach James Franklin has consistently prioritized regional recruiting targets during his tenure at Penn State, a strategy that has contributed significantly to the program’s sustained success.

Aliciene has already attracted a solid list of offers, including schools like Rutgers, Kentucky, Louisville, Pitt, and others. At this stage, Penn State’s offer stands out as the most enticing opportunity he has received. However, it’s important to note that the landscape of offers can change rapidly as the focus shifts to the 2025 recruiting class once the 2024 class is signed at the beginning of the next year.
