Building off a strong season opener, Penn State football returned to the practice field Wednesday evening ahead of the Nittany Lions’ clash with FIU this Saturday.
The most notable news coming out of tonight’s look behind the curtain in Lasch is that the Nittany Lions expect to have a pair of veteran defenders back against the Panthers. James Franklin confirmed following practice that defensive end Zuriah Fisher and cornerback Zion Tracy will both be available this weekend after missing last Saturday’s win over Nevada.
“Yeah, I would still think though, even in this game, even if he wants to [play], we’ll probably only play him a limited amount of reps,” Franklin said of Fisher, who missed all of 2024 with an injury. “But right now, he’s a go.”
Tracy missed the first game of his junior season after appearing in all 16 contests as a sophomore.
“He’s ready to go,” Franklin said. “He’s practiced all week long, including Sunday. So, we’re anticipating him [being] ready to go.”
