On Friday, the Penn State Nittany Lions received some exciting news regarding the 2024 recruiting class. A major wide receiver target — 2024 four-star Chance Robinson — included Penn State football is his final eight teams. The Nittany Lions are the only remaining Big Ten team in contention for Robinson’s commitment.

According to On3, 2024 four-star Chance Robinson is a heavy favorite to land at Florida State. However, the Miami Hurricanes, Florida Gators, and Penn State Nittany Lions all appear to have a shot as well. Robinson is a 6-1,180-pound wideout from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He is also among the most coveted wide receivers in his class, as he is ranked the No. 96 player in the nation, the No. 17 player at his position, and the No. 15 player in Florida.

Nittany Lions still have a chance

So far, 2024 four-star Chance Robinson has visited State College once: October 22nd of last year. Aside from his single visit to Penn State, Robinson has visited four other schools: USC (1), Florida (1), Miami (1), and Florida State (3). The Seminoles have the best odds to land Robinson (37.8%), with Miami (22.4%), Florida (10.1%), and Penn State (8.4%) rounding out the top-4.

Despite being offered by numerous other Big Ten programs, such as Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, and more, the Nittany Lions are the only Big Ten team still in the running, which is great news for James Franklin and his staff.
