The recent Penn State football recruiting efforts have been largely focused on targeting a significant four-star Ohio recruit, William Satterwhite, who recently revealed his top remaining schools. Along with being included in Satterwhite’s top-nine choices, Penn State football is also strongly favored to secure his commitment, as indicated by the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Currently, the Lions’ 2024 recruiting class has secured 13 hard commitments, with more to come, and the majority of these prospects are highly regarded four-star players. The addition of Sattterwhite, a highly sought-after four-star Ohio recruit who is being pursued by several top programs, including the Michigan Wolverines, could propel Penn State football back into the top-5 nationally. Presently, the class is ranked sixth nationally, trailing LSU, Notre Dame, Georgia, Ohio State, and Michigan.

Williams Satterwhite, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, is a prominent four-star Ohio recruit who is recognized as one of the country’s top offensive linemen in the 2024 recruiting class. He is a prime target for rival schools such as Michigan and Michigan State. Today, Satterwhite revealed his final nine remaining schools, with Penn State football making the cut.

Satterwhite holds the rankings of the 165th overall recruit in the country, the 11th best interior offensive lineman, and the sixth top recruit in Ohio according to the composite rankings. While he is still considering nine schools, On3’s RPM analysis indicates that Penn State football has an overwhelmingly high chance (nearly 92%) of securing his commitment. The Nittany Lions also lead the nation in recruiting visits with Satterwhite, which is undoubtedly a positive sign for Penn State as they strive to catch up to the top-ranked Wolverines and the second-ranked Buckeyes in the class rankings.
