Over the past few days, James Franklin’s Nittany Lions have been heating up when it comes to recruiting the 2024 class. It started with the commitment of three-star tight end Luke Reynolds, and continued with the addition of four-star cornerback Jon Mitchell — both great pickups for Franklin & Co. Now, Penn State football received even more great news when it comes to the 2024 recruiting class: three-star cornerback Antoine Belgrave-Shorter is currently expected to commit to Penn State.

The Penn State football team currently has six commits (and counting) in their 2024 recruiting class, including two cornerbacks: Jon Mitchell and Kenny Woseley. According to a recent 247 crystal ball prediction, the Nittany Lions are now expected to land a third cornerback in the class: three-star Antoine Belgrave-Shorter, who stems from Mandarin high School.

Antoine Belgrave-Shorter is rated as a three-star cornerback by 247 Sports and is ranked as the No. 53 cornerback and No. 84 player in Florida — he is not the highest-ranked recruit by any means, but Penn State football coach James Franklin knows talent when he sees it, and wants Belgrave-Shorter in the Blue and White next fall. Antoine Belgrave-Shorter stands at 6-feet tall and weighs in around 180-pounds heading into his final season of high school football in Jacksonville, FL.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine lists the UCF Knights and Penn State Nittany Lions as the top-2 schools for Belgrave-Shorter, though with this morning’s new crystal ball, many now expect him to commit to Penn State by the end of the 2024 recruiting cycle.
