Manny Diaz enrages Michigan fans with ‘signals’ troll

The Penn State football team has their biggest game of the season on Saturday vs. Michigan. In a game where two top-10 programs will clash in a playoff atmosphere. But before we get to the game many college football fans are wondering what the status of Jim Harbaugh and the rest of his coaching staff will be on Saturday. The Michigan football head coach is currently under investigation for the alleged sign stealing associated with Connor Stallions. While this story has taken over the college football world, did Manny Diaz mock the Wolverines on Wednesday night?

Did Manny Diaz mock Michigan for alleged sign stealing?

Penn State football has arguably one of the best social media accounts on Twitter / X. On Wednesday night the account posted a video where the team was reminding Nittany Lion fans to get to Beaver Stadium early and to bring the noise against Michigan.

The video was perfect, players and coaches were having fun with everything. But at the end of the video Penn State defensive coordinator Manny Diaz made three hand signals. They represented be there early, be loud, especially on third down. This has not sat well with the Michigan fan base, as they believed that Diaz was mocking them for their current situation. But you can be the judge.

While Penn State fans loved Diaz’s joke, Michigan fans didn’t take too kindly to the comments.

Diaz has a chance to rebound on Saturday

Last season when Penn State went to Ann Arbor, the Nittany Lion defense was embarrassed. Allowing a season-high 418 rushing yards. I’m 100% positive that is on the minds of not only Manny Diaz but the entire defensive unit on Saturday. They will have to be disruptive against the Wolverines who have yet to be challenged in 2023.

The unit played well against Ohio State, it was the offense that let down the Nittany Lions. If Manny Diaz can get his defensive squad to cause two turnovers, Penn State will be in a great position to pull off the upset on Saturday.

Kickoff between Penn State and Michigan is set for noon on FOX.
