The next few months will be vital for the Penn State football team and their recruiting efforts. Plenty of prospects will be on campus and the Nittany Lions coaching staff will look to build relationships with potential players. It’s never too early to keep stacking on the 2026 recruiting class which currently holds one hard commit from Messiah Mickens. Now, Penn State is set to host Darius Gray.

Darius Gray is a four-star interior offensive line prospect in the 2026 recruiting class. He holds his four-star rating on both On3 and Rivals. On On3 he is currently ranked the No. 76 prospect in the cycle, the No. 6 player in Virginia, and the No. 3 interior offensive lineman in 2026.

Gray holds offers from South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Michigan, Penn State, and several schools. Now, Adam Friedman a national recruiting analyst from Rivals has announced that Darius Gray will be on the Penn State football campus on March 23rd. This is just one of eight official visits that Gray will complete over the next few weeks.

Who will team up with Messiah Mickens?

The lone commit in the 2026 recruiting class is a rare gem. Messiah Mickens is a five-star prospect who is a top 25 prospect nationally. The Camp Hill, PA native has held strong with his commitment even after reports that USC and Michigan had significant interest. Once the Nittany Lions finish the Spring visits there could be additional members in the 2026 recruiting class for Penn State.
