RBU is something that many associate Penn State football with, especially in the past decade. Saquon Barkley, Miles Sanders, and Journey Brown have been special running backs who represented the Nittany Lions. Nick Singleton, Kaytron Allen, and Quinton Martin will carry that torch into the 2024 season. Now, looking towards the future James Franklin and Ja’Juan Seider are predicted to land 2025 recruiting class star RB Alvin Henderson after a new crystal ball was placed on Tuesday in favor of the Nittany Lions. Henderson could be a future member of the LawnBoyz that will keep the RBU tradition alive at Penn State.

Alvin “A-Train” Henderson is a four-star running back according to the On3 Industry Ranking. On3 lists Henderson as the No. 8 running back in the 2025 recruiting class. A native of Elba (Ala.) it makes perfect sense that the Auburn Tigers have been heavily involved in recruiting Henderson.

But momentum has shifted back in favor of the Penn State football team after a visit this past weekend. A visit that had  Henderson considering his future plans. He spoke with Steve Wiltfong of On3 after he visited Happy Valley.

This [weekend’s] visit to Penn State was big,” Henderson told Wiltfong, who posted a portion of his conversation on X/Twitter. “Opened up my eyes a lot! I took this visit because Coach [James] Franklin and Coach J [Seider] wanted me to come up because they know that I’m a huge priority to them and feel like I could come in and be a huge asset to the team!”

On Tuesday, Tom Loy of 247Sports logged a new crystal ball that predicts Alvin Henderson will make his commitment to Penn State. Now, there are four crystal balls placed three of them favor Henderson to commit to Auburn, but it’s important to note that they were all placed before this past weekend’s visit to Penn State.

Henderson sets his commitment date

It has been fluid to this point but Alvin Henderson has locked in his commitment date. He will make his decision on April 11th he announced today on social media.

Henderson will choose between Auburn, Flordia State, Miami, Oregon, and Penn State. Those are the five schools to which he narrowed his decision down back on March 15th. Adding Henderson would be the third running back commit in the 2025 recruiting class for the Nittany Lions, he would join Tiqwai Hayes and Kiandrea Barker if he decides to play in Happy Valley.
