The Penn State football team has been battling for several wide receivers in the 2025 recruiting class. Unfortunately, the Nittany Lions fell short with a couple of prospects. However, the pursuit has not slowed down as Penn State has moved forward with the prospects that are remaining. Now, it appears that their efforts have not gone to waste. Koby Howard has received a future cast to land at Penn State.

Koby Howard will attend Chaminade-Madonna Prep (Florida) this fall. Standing at 6 feet, 175 pounds the four-star prospect has drawn interest from several major schools. Howard ended up taking official visits to Ole Miss on June 14 and Penn State on June 21.

According to Rivals, Howard carries the ranking as the No. 24 WR in Florida and the No. 28 WR in the country (No. 145 nationally). On Tuesday, John Garcia placed a future cast prediction that favors Howard to commit to Penn State football.

I know what you’re thinking. We’ve been down this path before with other prospects in the 2025 recruiting class. That’s one of the major challenges with recruiting in today’s era of college football, even prospects that seem like a sure thing can change their mind 48 or 24 hours before the decision.

Wide receiver Taz Williams held a crystal ball from Tyler Calvaruso before he ended up committing to Baylor. The No. 1 WR in PA Lex Cyrus held multiple predictions to land at Penn State before he committed to South Carolina.

Following his decision Cyrus opened up about the choice to play for South Carolina.

“It was a hard decision,” Cyrus said. “[Penn State’s] a great school and it’s great to be close with them. When I weighed out my options, South Carolina was where I wanted to be.”
