After living up to expectations in Week 1, it took some time for Penn State football to round into form versus FIU. Nevertheless, the Nittany Lions still produced a commanding win, downing the Panthers 34-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Filling up the stat sheet with aggressive defense and a dynamic aerial attack against Nevada, the Blue and White turned in a much more balanced – and at times sleepy – performance this week.
“I think we’re still working towards that [our identity]. I don’t know if you necessarily know at the end of training camp what your identity is going to be,” James Franklin said afterward. ” You have an idea of what you think, but it’s an evolution until you get to the games and start doing it. I don’t know if we’re there yet. I still think we’re trying to figure that out.”
