The newest additions to the Penn State football program have put pen to paper, signing their National Letters of Intent on early National Signing Day for the 2025 recruiting cycle Wednesday morning.
All 26 future Nittany Lions currently in Penn State’s 2025 recruiting class signed on Wednesday. The class ranks No. 15 nationally in the On3 Industry Rankings. The 247Sports Composite puts the signing class at No. 17
The class is led by four-star Paramus Catholic (NJ) offensive tackle Malachi Goodman. The No. 88 overall player, Goodman is the No. 9 offensive tackle in the cycle.

Are there any late additions coming for the Nittany Lions?

There’s been some movement in recent days for Penn State football, losing former top-ranked commit Jayden Woods to Florida Friday while adding ex-Purdue pledge Brian Kortovich Tuesday.
Moving on from early National Signing Day, there’s still the possibility for some late additions to the Nittany Lions’ class.
Most significant of the potential late targets is East Forsyth (NC) quarterback Bryce Baker. The North Carolina commit and top 10 arm visited Penn State football last weekend after Tar Heels head coach Mack Brown was fired. On Tuesday, Baker’s camp announced that he would delay his signing by a week while he considers the Nittany Lions, Tar Heels, and LSU Tigers.
Another notable uncommitted name is four-star Imhotep defensive end Zahir Mathis. The top in-state defender in the cycle, Mathis decommitted from Ohio State in mid-November. On Monday, Mathis announced that he would not be signing during the early period. James Franklin and Penn State pushed hard to flip Mathis last spring and summer. However, it’s still to be determined where each side will ultimately fall come February.
