Penn State wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith (1) motions to the crowd after scoring a touchdown on a 57-yard reception late in the fourth quarter of an NCAA football game against Indiana at Beaver Stadium Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, in State College, Pa. Lambert-Smith's touchdown broke a 24-24 tie and helped seal a 33-24 win for the Nittany Lions.

One of the top decisions of the offseason was made by this Penn State football player. With Dante Cephas off to the transfer portal and Julian Fleming joining the wide receiver room, many wondered what would happen to KeAndre Lambert-Smith. The deadline passed for him to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft but there was speculation about him potentially transferring as well. He cleared the air last night with a social media post confirming he will be back with the Nittany Lions next season.

KeAndre Lambert-Smith was the Penn State football team’s leading receiver in 2023. He hauled in 53 catches for 673 yards and 4 touchdowns all were career highs for Lambert-Smith. But Lambert-Smith also struggled to end the season, only hauling in two passes over the Nittany Lions’ final three games.

With the below post for Happy Valley United, this all confirmed that he is heading “back to work” with the Nittany Lions. Although his production tailed off at the end of last season, it will be great to have that veteran presence with big play ability on the field again in 2024.

Wide receiver room in 2024

The group of wide receivers heading into 2024 are an interesting bunch. One would imagine Julian Fleming will be the No. 1 option, with KeAndre Lambert-Smith and Harrison Wallace following behind Fleming now that Dante Cephas has entered the transfer portal. Then, we’ve seen spurts of greatness from Omari Evans, Kaden Saunders, Malik McClain, and Liam Clifford. With the right coaching, this group has a chance to be special in 2o24.
