The argument for who is running back university aka RBU is always up for debate. But one thing is for certain and that is the Penn State football team has to be part of that conversation. From the history and roots of the Nittany Lions players such as Ki-Jana Carter, John Cappelletti, Curt Warner, Larry Johnson, Franco Harris, and so many more. Then, looking at the more recent names such as Saquon Barkley, Miles Sanders, Journey Brown, Nick Singleton, and Kaytron Allen. Now, the Nittany Lions turn their attention to the future and 2025 recruiting class RB Alvin Henderson who could be the next great Penn State running back.

Penn State football battling Auburn, FSU for No. 2 RB in Alabama

Alvin Henderson is a four-star running back in the 2025 recruiting class from Elba, Alabama. Henderson now shows serious interest in the Penn State football team as he has named the Nittany Lions as one of his final five schools according to Hayes Fawcett of On3. Other programs included Auburn, Florida State, Oregon, and Miami.

Henderson currently holds a crystal ball to Auburn which was placed by Auburn Insider Christian Clemente in June of 2023. According to 247Sports, Henderson is the 94th overall prospect in the 2025 cycle, the No. 8 RB in the country, and the No. 10 player in Alabama.

Penn State needs to host Henderson

On social media Henderson has alluded that he is going to make his decision soon and commit to one of these five schools. One of the interesting nuggets about Henderson is according to 247Sports he has not visited Penn State officially or unofficially. The Nittany Lions offered him in 2021 but since then he has not been to campus. If Penn State wants to seriously compete for a prospect like Henderson they need to get him on campus as soon as possible.

It appears that there is a mutual interest in getting this visit scheduled for Henderson and Penn State. According to Adam Gorney of Rivals, the Nittany Lions are working to get Henderson on campus ahead of his decision date.
