The College Football Playoff Top 25 was revealed Tuesday night on ESPN. The Penn State football team was able to rise in the rankings after its dominant victory over Maryland. Leading to a top-10 showdown between the Nittany Lions and the Michigan Wolverines this weekend. It was a moment of joy for the Penn State community but after the ESPN crew began discussing the top 10 Booger McFarland opened up about his feelings on Penn State. He was blunt, to say the least.

As the College Football Playoff Top 25 was going through the corresponding graphics the top 10 started to unveil. The Penn State football team landed at No. 10 this week and they will take on No. 3 Michigan in Beaver Stadium on Saturday.

When asked about this showdown, Booger McFarland did not hold back when speaking about the Nittany Lions.

“If not now, when? We’ve been waiting on you, McFarland said. “You’ve got your quarterback. Can you be explosive on the outside? We’re tired of seeing three yards and a cloud of dust. You’re gonna have to get some big plays if you’re going to beat Michigan.”

Clearly, McFarland did not watch the most recent Penn State game versus Maryland where the Nittany Lions had their most consistent performance offensively, including multiple shots down the field.

It’s interesting to see the graphics on James Franklin and the narrative surrounding his poor record in these top 10 matchups. Obviously, a Penn State win is massive for the Nittany Lions and their postseason aspirations, but on the other side, a win silences the hate from national analysts like Booger McFarland.
