Does Penn State football have what it takes to upset Michigan?

Yes, there’s still a football game happening Saturday. Does Penn State football have what it takes to upset the Michigan Wolverines?

Yes, there’s still a football game being played tomorrow. In one of the biggest games of the entire season, No. 10 Penn State football takes on the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines inside Beaver Stadium Saturday afternoon. While much of the attention this week has been centered on Jim Harbaugh and the ongoing sign-stealing saga surrounding the Michigan football program, Saturday still has all the makings of an epic game in State College. Does James Franklin and the Nittany Lions have what it takes to upset the Wolverines and get the statement win that has eluded them for so long? We break it all down in this week’s edition of our Penn State football gameday central.

Tailgate Talk Podcast: Do you believe that James Franklin and the Nittany Lions can pull the upset?

Tailgate Talk is a podcast that brings together lifelong friends and Penn State fans to cover all the happenings around the Nittany Lion football program. Each week, the gang provides their honest, unfiltered, and (sometimes) wild opinions in what can only be described as tailgate talk.

This week, the pod takes on a Ted Lasso vibe, as the guys discuss whether or not they believe Penn State football can take down Michigan. Led by the arm of Drew Allar, the Nittany Lions offense finally put together a performance against Maryland that fans had been waiting for all season.

Even beyond potential punishments for Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan football program, there are still several unknowns about the Wolverines this season. Michigan is outscoring its opponents 366-60 this year. But how much of that is due to the relatively soft schedule that Michigan has faced? Will the elite Penn State defense be able to throw the Wolverines off track for the first time all season?

As always, the guys finish with a preview of all the Week 11 college football action and their picks for Saturday’s slate.
