This morning, Nittany Lions fans were greeted by the special Tweet; the one that James Franklin sends right before landing another commitment on the recruiting trail. To kick off the new week, Penn State football landed four-star lineman Garrett Sexton — a member of the 2024 recruiting class — out of Arrowhead High School in Wisconsin.

Garrett Sexton, a four-star lineman, is the newest 2024 recruit to join the ranks of Penn State’s top 10 class. Sexton is a 6-foot-7, 245-pound offensive tackle from Hartland, WI, and chose Penn State football over many other Big Ten programs, such as the Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Wisconsin Badgers.

Penn State’s class is now up to 11 hard commits and should move back up in the rankings following this huge commitment. Before Sexton’s commitment this morning, the Nittany Lions’ 2024 recruiting class ranked No. 8 according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings.

Garrett Sexton is a 247 Sports Composite four-star offensive tackle and is ranked as the No. 377 recruit nationally, the No. 30 offensive tackle in the 2024 class, and the No. 4 recruit in the state of Wisconsin. Over the past week, Penn State has now landed three major prospects out of Wisconsin and may not be done yet, either. Four-star tackle Garrett Sexton also becomes Penn State’s first offensive tackle commit in the 2024 recruiting cycle.
