The incoming Penn State football freshman class is undeniably exceptional, and their talents are no secret. Recently, a captivating video surfaced, showcasing Joseph Mupoyi, a highly anticipated member of the class of 2023, shattering his high school’s bench press record on the last day of his tenure.

With his remarkable strength and dedication, Mupoyi is poised to make a lasting impact in Happy Valley, where he is expected to continue his impressive athletic prowess.

Below is the video of Penn State football freshman Joseph Mupoyi, a class of 2023 commit, breaking his high school’s bench press record.

Penn State football freshman Joseph Mupoyi is set to join the Nittany Lions ahead of the 2023 season. With high expectations, Mupoyi was ranked among the top commits in James Franklin’s 2023 recruiting class, which secured an impressive No. 13 composite ranking.

Hailing from Maryland, Mupoyi stands at an imposing 6-foot-5 and weighs 240 pounds, making him a formidable defensive end. As a composite four-star recruit, he earned recognition as one of the top 40 EDGE players in his class and held the impressive title of the second-ranked recruit in Connecticut.

The recently released video highlighting Mupoyi’s exceptional strength during his senior year of high school underscores the level of talent Penn State football will be acquiring this fall.

If Mupoyi can demonstrate a similar rapid development to that of Tony Rojas, another talented freshman in the Penn State football program, the Nittany Lions will undoubtedly benefit from a promising cohort of young, up-and-coming athletes in the coming season.
