STATE COLLEGE, PA — On Tuesday, following James Franklin’s initial 2023 spring press conference, media members were allowed to take a sneak peak at the following Penn State football practice. Drew Allar, Penn State’s rising sophomore star quarterback, is already slinging it around on day one of the Nittany Lions’ spring ball practices.

Heading into the 2023 season, Penn State football has high hopes for rising sophomore quarterback Drew Allar. Allar — the former No. 1 recruit in the nation — will be Penn State’s first full-time starting quarterback not named Sean Clifford since 2018, Trace McSorley’s final season in the Blue and White.

Here are some of the best clips of Penn State’s new quarterback throwing it around during day one of the Nittany Lions’ spring practices:

This may not be from today, but here is more footage of Penn State’s Drew Allar throwing some heaters earlier this week. Allar clearly has all of the potential in the world, an incredible frame, and could be one of the best players in the Big Ten if all goes well this coming season.
