Earlier this week, we reported that TCU wideout Jordan Hudson had hit the transfer portal and may be a target for the Nittany Lions. On Friday, it was reported by On3 that Penn State football has officially contacted the former 5-star wide receiver and could be pursuing him to add to the team’s depth ahead of summer practice.

Jordan Hudson — a former On3 5-star wide receiver — saw one season of action with TCU before entering the transfer portal this spring. During his freshman year with the Horned Frogs, Jordan Hudson hauled in 14 passes for 174 yards and three touchdowns; he made two catches for 34 yards in TCU’s 51-45 playoff victory over the Michigan Wolverines on New Year’s Eve.

As a high school recruit, Hudson was rated as a 5-star wide receiver by On3, and was ranked as the No. 15 recruit in the nation, the No. 2 wide receiver in the class, and the No. 3 recruit in Texas. Seeing as Penn State football is in need of wide receiver depth ahead of the 2023 season, James Franklin pointed to the position being a spring transfer portal need for the Nittany Lions following the spring game last weekend.

Now, with this incredible talent on the market again, Penn State football has thrown its hat into the ring, and could be looking to lock down this former 5-star talent.
