Penn State football has jumped out to an early 2-0 start, but the first big test of the season awaits this Saturday when the No. 7 Nittany Lions travel to Illinois. The Fighting Illini have looked lackluster so far this year, but anything can happen once conference play begins. After an electrifying first two outings, Nittany Lions fans are clamoring to see how QB Drew Allar will handle the first road start of his career. Whether you’re traveling to Champaign or getting ready for kickoff at home, we’ve got you covered with a variety of audio and video coverage as part of our Penn State football gameday central.

Penn State Roar Room: Breaking down the first road start for Drew Allar

The Penn State Roar Room is back! This week, we reconnected with everyone’s favorite Penn State online personality, Caroline, to break down all the action on and off the field.

In this episode, we provided a final wrap-up of Penn State’s 63-7 blowout win over Delaware. We then looked ahead to Saturday’s game, which will mark the first road start for new QB Drew Allar. Although unproven away from Beaver Stadium, the Penn State coaching staff has high hopes for what we will see from Allar this weekend. We also broke down the anticipated role of backup QB Beau Pribula moving forward, as well as Big Noon Kickoff’s decision to travel to Colorado to see Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes instead of the Nittany Lions.

Tailgate Talk Podcast: Look ahead to Illinois

Tailgate Talk is a podcast that brings together lifelong friends and Penn State fans to cover all the happenings around the Nittany Lion football program. Each week, the gang provides their honest, unfiltered, and (sometimes) wild opinions in what can only be described as tailgate talk.

In this week’s episode, the Tailgate Talk gang gets ready for their road trip to Champaign! The guys break down the subpar showing from Illinois after two games, and discuss what it could mean for Penn State football on Saturday. Could this be a game that the Nittany Lions take over, or is a sleepy Saturday ahead for James Franklin and company? In addition, Matt, Trent, and Kyle provide their gambling locks for Week 3 college football action.
