This week, Penn State football freshman star linebacker Tony Rojas, who has been making local and national headlines ahead of his first season in the Blue and White, inked a pair of new NIL deals. The first was with the Pennsylvania Special Olympics, and the second — which was announced today — is with ‘Hey Dude Shoes.’

Tony Rojas is becoming a major name among true freshmen after a standout spring performance with Penn State football. According to James Franklin, Rojas has added 29 pounds of “good weight” throughout the spring as an early enrollee at Penn State.

Additionally, during the Nittany Lions’ Blue/White spring game, Rojas led the game (for either team) in tackles, once again establishing himself as a top performer among Penn State’s freshman class.

Tony Rojas signs with PA Special Olympics

Earlier this week, on Monday, Rojas announced his partnership with the Pennsylvania Special Olympics — a cause that quite a few active Penn State football players have joined as of late. Yesterday, Kaleb Artis, a redshirt freshman, signed a deal with the PA Special Olympics of his own, becoming the latest Lion to back the cause via NIL.

Another deal with ‘Hey Dude Shoes’

In addition to Rojas signing with the Special Olympics, the Penn State football freshman star announced a new NIL deal this morning via his social media. Rojas is now partnered with ‘Hey Dude Shoes,’ a men’s footwear brand headquartered in Los Angeles, CA.

These new NIL deals keep rolling for Penn State football stars — from freshmen to seniors, the Nittany Lions are currently getting paid, which is a great sign for the future of James Franklin’s program.
