Since it re-opened just over a week ago, the transfer portal has been one of the hottest topics in college football. Following the Penn State football Blue/White game, James Franklin directly stated that his program has two portal needs right now: wide receiver and defensive tackle. Today, the Nittany Lions offered transfer Colorado wideout Montana Lemonious-Craig, a former three-star receiver who saw some solid action with the Buffaloes in 2022.

The Penn State football wide receiver room is facing some adversity when it comes to depth issues right now, though the Nittany Lions’ WR1 — KeAndre Lambert-Smith — is confident in his team’s ability to battle it out during spring and summer ball. Still, the Lions are looking for some extra weapons in the portal right now, and are now targeting Colorado wideout Montana Lemonious-Craig.

On Monday, Montana Lemonious-Craig announced that Penn State football has offered him — the Nittany Lions are one of many programs to do so since he entered the transfer portal on Monday morning.

As a high school recruit, Montana Lemonious-Craig was rated as a 247 Sports Composite three-star wide receiver and was ranked as the No. 56 athlete and No. 88 recruit in California for the class of 2020.

Throughout his most recent season with Colorado, Montana Lemonious-Craig appeared in 11 of the Buffaloes’ 12 games, making 23 catches for 359 yards and three touchdowns — he has a 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame, and caught the eye of James Franklin. Keep an eye on this PAC-12 transfer portal wide receiver throughout the spring portal window, as he is officially a Penn State target.
