For Penn State football, the Blue-White Game serves two purposes. The first one is obvious; it’s a chance for the team to scrimmage and for coaches to evaluate talent before the summer. The second reason is the gathering of the Nittany Lion faithful and providing another opportunity for a game-like atmosphere. This reason is so important for the many recruits who visit during this weekend to get a sense of a gameday in Beaver Stadium. One such prospect from the 2025 recruiting cycle taking in the atmosphere next weekend is wide receiver Terrell Wilfong, who is set to visit the Nittany Lions for the Blue-White Game.
Intriguing 2025 wide receiver locks in visit for the Blue-White Game
Terrell Wilfong is a four-star wide receiver in the 2025 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. ESPN and 247Sports have yet to provide a ranking for Wilfong at this time. Standing at 6-4, 160 pounds, Wilfong is from West Orange, NJ, and holds offers from Tennessee, Boston College, Syracuse, Cinncinatti, and Penn State.
Now, Wilfong has announced that he is set to visit the Penn State football team on April 13 for the Nittany Lions’ annual Blue-White Game. If the experience can be positive for this 2025 wide reciever, he is someone to look out for as a potential commit following the game.
Nittany Lions only have one receiver in 2025
There’s a lot to like about the 2025 recruiting class for Penn State at this point in the cycle. According to 247Sports, the Nittany Lions have the No. 5 recruiting class in the country. However, there is some concern with the lack of wide receivers that Marques Hagans has landed to this point.
There are several wide receivers who will take their official visits over the summer at Penn State. But currently, the lone receiver commit is three-star prospect Lyrick Samuel. If the Nittany Lions want the depth that James Franklin often speaks about, they will need to land a few more prospects at this position.
The 2024 Blue-White game is set to kick off at 2 p.m. on April 13.
