Today, one of the Nittany Lions’ top-ranked 2024 targets narrowed his school choices down. Former Michigan State Spartan commit Nicholas Marsh — one of the top-ranked recruits in Michigan and a major wide receiver target for Penn State football — included the Nittany Lions in his top-12, along with a few other notable Big Ten programs, such as Michigan and Michigan State. A few months ago, Marsh officially de-committed from Mel Tucker’s Spartans and has been a major person of interest for the 2024 Penn State recruiting class ever since; that being said, the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans are both top teams right now, seeing as they have the regional advantage.

According to every major recruiting service, Nicholas Marsh is a top-4 recruit in the state of Michigan. According to the 247 Sports Composite rankings, Marsh is a four-star wideout recruit and is ranked as the No. 86 recruit in the 2024 class, the No. 14 wide receiver in the class, and the No. 3 recruit in the state of Michigan. After initially committing to Michigan State, Marsh recently de-committed, and has been quite impressed with Penn State football since.

Nicholas Marsh recently had an unofficial visit with Penn State football on April 7th, and still has an official visit to State College coming up in early June. Today, Marsh released his top-12 remaining programs on his Twitter, and Penn State made the cut.

The Nittany Lions still have some stout competition regarding Marsh’s recruitment, including the Michigan Wolverines, Michigan State Spartans, Oklahoma Sooners, Auburn Tigers, Kansas Jayhawks, UCLA Bruins, Ole Miss Rebels, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Oregon Ducks, and Maryland Terrapins.
