The Penn State football team has been red-hot in the world of recruiting. Earning two commitments in the 2025 recruiting class this week while becoming a finalist for the No. 1 QB in Pennsylvania shows the coaching staff’s dedication to building their roster. It doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. Now, the Nittany Lions are trending in favor of IOL Michael Troutman, who received a crystal ball to land with Penn State.
Penn State football is trending to land rising star 2025 prospect
Michael Troutman is a three-star prospect, according to On3. He is not yet ranked on 247sports. We saw a similar situation for Penn State football commit Alex Tatsch, who finally received his initial 247 ranking earlier this week. Troutman is from Wayne, NJ, and holds offers from Rutgers and Duke, who are in direct competition for him as a prospect.
Now, National Recruiting Analyst Brian Dohn has placed a crystal ball for Troutman to commit to Penn State. Phil Trautwein who coaches the offensive line for the Nittany Lions is from the New Jersey area so you can imagine this one means more to him.
Troutman was on campus last weekend
Whatever the Penn State recruiting staff provided last weekend, they need to keep that same hospitality for future visits. Troutman, like Alex Tatsch and Dayshaun Burnett, was on campus this past weekend for his junior day visit. The coaching staff is looking to lock in their top choices at each position.
It appears that Michael Troutman could potentially be the next Nittany Lion in the 2025 recruiting class.
