Penn State football is off to a hot start in the 2027 recruiting cycle, with each of its three early commitments ranking within the top 32 prospects nationally. Now, the Nittany Lions could be on the verge of landing another top-100 recruit at a key position.
On Thursday, Penn State picked up a crystal ball prediction from 247Sports to land Tabor Academy (MA) quarterback Peter Bourque.
A four-star, Bourque is the No. 8 quarterback and the No. 90 prospect nationally in the 2027 cycle, according to 247Sports. As a sophomore, he earned All-Independent School League honors after throwing for 1,737 yards, 17 touchdowns, and three interceptions.
Bourque traveled to Happy Valley in April, his sixth visit to Penn State in the last year. He was also recently in the Nittany Lions’ recruiting footprint, competing at the Under Armour Next event in New Jersey last weekend.
The 6’4”, 195-pound passer has over two dozen offers to date. In addition to his multiple visits with the Nittany Lions, Bourque has been to Michigan three times and Notre Dame twice.
Penn State football has the No. 2 class in 247Sports’ 2027 class rankings. The Nittany Lions are one of only nine programs with multiple commitments in the cycle.
