Prospects from across the country flocked to Happy Valley this weekend as Penn State football hosts its first junior day of 2024. While multiple highly-ranked recruits are visiting this weekend, one of the top players on campus is Dierre Hill, a top 5 RB in the class of 2025. Where do James Franklin and the Nittany Lions stand with one of the top prospects in the 2025 recruiting cycle?

Top 5 RB Dierre Hill visiting Penn State this weekend

The 2025 recruiting cycle is really just getting into full swing, but Dierre Hill is already one of the elite prospects of the entire class. The Belleville, Illinois, product is rated as the No. 5 RB and No. 105 overall recruit in 2025, according to 247Sports. Playing for Althoff Catholic, Hill rushed for 1,788 yards and 25 touchdowns as a junior this season.

And now, Tyler Calvaruso of 247Sports reports that Dierre Hill is attending the first Penn State football junior day of 2024 this weekend. Hill has 12 offers so far, including from Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, and Oregon. He doesn’t yet hold an offer from James Franklin and the Nittany Lions, but that very well could change with this weekend’s visit.

Multiple recruits to watch at Nittany Lions’ first junior day

Dierre Hill is just one of several highly regarded prospects visiting State College this weekend.

Some of the most notable recruits on campus have existing ties to the Penn State football program. This includes Kainoa Winston, the No. 2 safety in the 2025 class, who is the cousin of Nittany Lions starting safety KJ Winston. LB prospect Anthony Sacca, son of former Penn State QB Tony Sacca, is also locked in for a visit this weekend.
