Penn State football battling for top 2024 recruiting class in new-look Big Ten

After the latest round of updates to the 2024 recruiting rankings, the Penn State football team has climbed the ladder. Obviously, Penn State is led by Quinton Martin, Ethan Grunkemeyer, and Luke Reynolds in this class. But James Franklin and his staff are optimistic that this class can secure a top 10 ranking nationally. Either a few months to go before early signing day, the staff will continue to recruit heavily. Now, that the 2024 On300 Rankings have been updated, where does Penn State rank in the Big Ten?

Penn State football has a top 2 recruiting class in the Big Ten

If you’ve followed Penn State football recruiting closely you’d know that the Nittany Lions have been on fire. Since the Whiteout game, three new recruits have made their commitment to Penn State. All three of these new additions are in the 2025 recruiting class. But before we look that far ahead, let’s review the latest 2024 On300 Rankings.

In a recent article published by Collin Ginnan Updated Top 10 Big Ten classes in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Ginnan said this about Penn State, “Penn State currently sits second in the Big Ten and No.12 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Quinton Martin leads the way for the Nittany Lions followed by a pair of top-100 prospects in Westford (Mass.) Cheshire Academy four-star tight end Luke Reynolds and Brookline (Mass.) Dexter School athlete Liam Andrews. Lewis Center (Ohio) Olentangy four-star Ethan Grunkemeyer is Penn State’s signal caller of the class and a top-10 quarterback recruit in the 2024 On300. The Nittany Lions have not received a commitment since Loganville (Ga.) Grayson four-star defensive lineman T.A. Cunningham pledged to Penn State on July 22.”

If James Franklin and his staff can add a few more players. This could be a top 10 2024 recruiting class in State College.
