For the first time in 16 years, Penn State football has the opportunity to win 11 games in the regular season with a victory over the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday afternoon.
Currently No. 4 in the nation in the College Football Playoff rankings, a win would also practically guarantee the program’s first-ever playoff berth and all but secure a first-round home game on the third weekend of December.
The Nittany Lions will take the field Saturday without two key contributors along the trenches. During last Saturday’s win at Minnesota, Penn State football lost starting right tackle Anthony Donkoh and defensive lineman Alonzo Ford to long-term injuries. Unsurprisingly, both have been ruled out for the matchup with the Terrapins.

In addition, Nittany Lions leading receiver Harrison Wallace III is listed as questionable for Saturday’s contest. Wallace has 35 catches for 579 yards and three scores on the season.
